GEM PHARMACEUTICALS, INC. AWARDED GRANT

 


WASHINGTON – Gem Pharmaceuticals, Inc., of Birmingham was awarded nearly $150,000 from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.  The grant came through the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases office.

 

“These funds will be used to further arthritis, musculoskeletal and skin diseases research.  Gem Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is conducting vital work for our area, and I congratulate the company for securing this grant,” Congressman Spencer Bachus said.  “This is another positive development in what is a growing biotech industry developing in the Birmingham metropolitan area.”

 

Gem Pharmaceuticals, Inc. was awarded these funds through Small Business Technology Transfer Grants.
