WASHINGTON – The Community Action Agency of Northeast Alabama, Inc. has been awarded a $58,535 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. This award is part of the Housing Preservation Grant program.
“This award will be used to repair the homes of low-income families. Through the work of the Community Action Agency, these families’ homes will be preserved and their quality of life increased,” Congressman Spencer Bachus said.
The Community Action Agency of Northeast Alabama, Inc. serves St. Clair, Blount, Cherokee, DeKalb, Jackson and Marshall Counties. Five homes will be renovated with these funds.
