PELL CITY RECEIVES $150,000 FOR

SEWER IMPROVEMENTS

Industrial Park to Benefit for Future Growth

WASHINGTON- Congressman Spencer Bachus is pleased to announce that Pell City has received a $150,000 grant for sewer system improvements.  This grant will provide a needed infrastructure upgrade to Pell City's Industrial Park, which will improve opportunities to create new jobs in St. Clair County.

"These improvements will attract new industries to Pell City in addition to Eissmann, a German automotive supplier that has committed to build a facility there.  Where industry is welcome, jobs will follow," said Bachus.

Current wastewater facilities serving the area are obsolete and inadequate to accommodate industrial expansion.  New sewer lines will serve the seven existing industries in addition to property available for future industrial growth.

This grant was awarded to Pell City by the Appalachian Regional Commission.
